You make the introduction. We build, ship, and support the software

Vertical Unit is a senior-only engineering team. Refer a company that needs custom software, a high-load backend, or AI automation, and earn 20% of the revenue we collect on their first contract — a founding rate, offered while we form the first circle of partners and locked in permanently once you close a deal. Discovery, proposals, negotiation, delivery, QA, and account management stay entirely on our side.

How it works

Your involvement ends at step one

Everything after the introduction is our job — including the parts that usually make referral work feel like a second full-time role.

01

You introduce

A warm intro, or a name logged in the shared lead registry. We confirm the lead is registered to you within one business day.

02

We run presale

Technical discovery, scope, a rough estimate in 24–48 hours, then the proposal and negotiation. Our team, our time, our engineers on the call.

03

The client signs and pays

Contract with our Serbian entity, milestone-based. Architecture, delivery, QA, and account management stay entirely with us.

04

You get paid

Commission is released on each incoming client payment — not held back until the project closes.

Commission

20% on the first contract, uncapped

Plus 5% on the client's second and third contracts, while we carry 100% of the ongoing account management, upselling, and delivery. Paid out as the client's deposit and milestone installments land.

No exclusivity and no monthly quota — this runs alongside your current role
No delivery, project management, or technical questions land on you
No use of confidential employer relationships; conflicts of interest are out of scope by design
Your leads are logged in a shared registry and protected from overlap
Leads from founding partners go to the front of the queue — first to be estimated, first to get a slot in the team's schedule

Founding partner · 10 places

How the 20% gets locked in for good

We are taking on ten founding partners, and the people in that first circle get terms we will not offer again. Once a client you introduced has signed and paid, your founding rate is grandfathered — fixed for the life of the partnership, on that client and on every client you bring afterwards, however the standard terms change later.

Founding terms are open until the tenth partner joins. Partners who come after that work on the standard rate, while founding rates stay where they are.

Who to introduce

What a good introduction looks like

Mid-market is the sweet spot. If you are unsure whether a company fits, send it over — a two-line description is enough for us to tell you.

Company size
20–500 people, in Europe or the US. Large enough to run real systems, small enough that a decision involves one or two people.
The trigger
A legacy system slowing them down, a manual process eating a team's week, or an AI initiative with no engineers to run it.
Typical first deal
A €1,000 pilot audit or sprint, or a €15k–€80k build. Enterprises work too — usually as a departmental project, not a full replatform.

What you are introducing us for

Web platforms & complex services

Customer portals, analytics dashboards, corporate platforms — from landing pages to high-load enterprise systems.

Backend, data & custom CRM

High-load architecture, tuned databases, and CRM/SRM systems shaped to how the client actually works.

AI agents & automation

Voice agents that make real sales calls, document processing, and multi-agent workflows — plus a no-code dialogue builder.

QA & security

Automated test suites, access-control and tenant-isolation review, CI/CD pipelines guarding every release.

FAQ

Questions partners ask before signing

If something here is not covered, ask by email — we answer within one business day.

Who is this referral partnership for?+

Business development professionals, sales consultants, agency owners, freelancers, and anyone with a network of companies that buy software. You do not need a technical background — our engineers handle every technical conversation.

How much commission do I earn?+

20% of the revenue we collect under the client's first contract, with no cap. Repeat business from the same client pays 5% on the second and third contracts, while we carry all ongoing account management and delivery.

When and how is the commission paid?+

Commission is released on each incoming client payment, starting with the initial deposit — not withheld until the project is finished. Payments are made by bank transfer in EUR or USD against a signed referral agreement.

Is this an employment position?+

No. It is a non-exclusive, commission-only referral partnership with no quota, no hourly commitment, and no fixed schedule. It is designed to run alongside an existing full-time role or consultancy.

Do I have to sell or explain the technology?+

No. Your part ends at the introduction. We run technical discovery, write the proposal, join the calls, negotiate, and deliver. You are welcome on the calls, but you never have to answer an engineering question.

How are my leads protected from being taken over?+

Every lead you introduce is logged in a shared lead registry (Notion or Google Sheets) with a timestamp, and we confirm registration within one business day. That record is what the referral agreement pays against.

What kind of projects can you actually take on?+

Custom web platforms, high-load backends and data architecture, custom CRM and SRM systems, AI agents and business-process automation including voice agents, and QA and security work. We deliver end to end with a senior-only team.

What if the client is not ready for a large project?+

We offer a fixed-scope pilot sprint from €1,000, running one to two weeks — typically an architecture and performance audit, a speed optimization, or an AI prototype. It lets a cautious prospect test the team with almost no risk, and it still counts as your referral.

Which markets and time zones do you work in?+

We work remotely with clients across Europe and the United States. The team is in CET with comfortable overlap with both EU and US working hours, and we reply within one business day. Contracts are signed through our registered Serbian entity, so we can work with clients worldwide.

How do I lock in the 20% rate permanently?+

By closing, not by signing up. Once a client you introduced has signed a contract and paid the first installment, your rate is grandfathered — fixed for the life of the partnership, on that client and on every client you bring afterwards, regardless of how the standard terms change later. Registering as a partner alone does not lock anything in.

What is a founding partner, and what happens after the first ten places are taken?+

Founding partners are the first ten people to bring us clients, and they carry a rate we will not offer again. Until the tenth place is taken, the terms on this page are open to everyone; partners who join later work on the standard rate. Founding rates stay grandfathered — written into the referral agreement, not just stated on this page.

What does priority mean for my leads?+

Leads introduced by founding partners are looked at before anything else in the pipeline: first to receive a rough estimate, and first in line when we reserve engineers for a new project. It is a guarantee about order, not about dates — we will not promise a start date before we know the scope, because that is how agencies end up missing them.

How do I get started?+

Email vertical.unit.rs@gmail.com with the markets and industries you can cover. We schedule a 30–40 minute intro call, sign the referral agreement, and give you access to the lead registry so you can log your first prospect the same day.

Tell us which markets you can cover

One email is enough to start: the industries and regions your network reaches. We reply within one business day and set up a 30–40 minute intro call, then the referral agreement and access to the lead registry.
